This evening has been enjoyable!  After a day of setting up my blog at Starbucks, I received a phone call from my mother.  Basically this is what I’ve discovered from moving back to my parent’s hometown: when the phone rings around dinner time, don’t ever forget to ask what’s for dinner!  So after our chit chat, I did just that: “what’s for dinner tonight mom?”  Pork chops, sweet potatoes, rice and a delicious apple cake.

Now I don’t come to mom & dad’s just for the food!  I then spent time with dad trying to get this alternative fuel steam boat operating…we still have some work to do!  The night is wrapping up, but not without a wonderful time of sitting by the fire with mom.  We reconfigured her China cabinet, I learned about the heirlooms that she has in the house, and then we discussed an antique chair that is mine.  It needs to be re-upholstered.  Pictures will come soon on that one, but it has truly been a wonderful day!  Now for this weather to warm up so I can fully enjoy this Spring Break!
